Moroka Swallows will be involved in a four-team tournament at the Seisa Ramabodu Stadium in Bloemfontein on Sunday as they continue their preparations for the new season.
The tournament is likely to attract a sizeable crowd with the home side Bloemfontein Celtic in action, as well as Premier Soccer League outfit Jomo Cosmos and the Lesotho Defense Force Club.
The event will give coach Gavin Hunt a chance to see his new charges, Albert Kometsi, George Hummel and Shaun Permall, in action.
It will also allow him to start thinking of a formation ahead of the Beautiful Birds opening game of the season, a SAA Super Eight clash with Golden Arrows on August 16.
Swallows open their PSL campaign against Wits University on August 22.
But the tournament at the Seisa Ramabodu Stadium is first up and the opposition will be enough of a test for Hunt's men.
Cosmos finished eighth in the PSL last season, but they are a better side than that result suggests and have a number of Bafana Bafana internationals on their books.
Bloemfontein Celtic has a great Absa Cup run before finally being knocked out in the semifinals by eventual winners Santos. They also finished runners-up in the First Division Inland Stream and narrowly missed out on promotion to the PSL.
Defence Force are one of the leading club's in Lesotho and have a rich history of success, and experience in playing in African Cup competitions.
