Hartley To Join Cosmos? 13/08/03
Junaid Hartley, the sublimely talented but wayward former Ajax Cape Town midfielder, is rumoured to be on his way to Jomo Cosmos.

Hartley spent last week training with First Division outfit Dobsonville All Nations, saying that he was trying to build up his fitness with the view to an overseas move.

But it has now emerged that the 25-year-old will be meeting with Cosmos boss Jomo Sono this week.

Hartley has been capped by his country five times, There have never been any doubts about his extreme talent, but has had constant problems with his discipline throughout his playing career and has never settled at one club for any period of time.

Apart from representing Wits, Seven Stars, Pirates, Swallows and Ajax in South Africa, the Gauteng-born player gas also had overseas stints with French side Lens FC, Portuguese team Vitoria Setubal as well as Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany.
