Moroka Swallows will be looking to build on the success of their recent 2-0 win over Santos on Wednesday when they host SuperSport United at the Germiston Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The match kicks off at 4pm.
The Bird's management knows that they will have their work cut out against Pitso Mosimane's classy Pretoria outfit, who are looking to go all the way in the league after finishing in the runner's up position twice in the last two years.
A major boost to the Bird's plans is the return of their inspirational coach, Gavin Hunt, who returns to the action after the recent coaching clinic he attended in England.
The team will, however, be without the services of newly signed Goodman Mazibuko. The former Orlando Pirates work-horse will be sitting out for this game after having already having accumulated three yellow cards.
Other team news for the Bird's supporters is that the club has acquired the services of a new striker, Lungisane Ndlela, from first division outfit Classic.
In the first round of last seasons game, Jermain Christian scored for Swallows, while Phil Evans replied with a penalty to earn Matsatsantsa a 1-1 draw,
The Dube Birds were too strong in the return game and ran out comfortable 3-1 winners with goals from Japhet Zwane and a brace from Lucas Sebona.
Swallows: Etafia, McNab, Hummell, Mokoti, Petersen, Rabolele, Kometsi, Mazibuko, Kasinauyo, Sebona, Lota
SuperSport: Marlin, Katza, Evans, Mwamba, Mothlajwa, Mngomeni, Zwane, Sibeko, Raselemane, Ntsolengoe, Mnguni
Players To Watch:
Swallows: Lucas Sebona has been a pleasure to watch with his forays down the right wing position recently. Sebona will be a handful for Katza and his fellow SuperSport defenders.
SuperSport: Abram Raselamane has combined well with Thando Mngomeni in recent games. When they trounced Hellenic it was Mngomeni who set him up- both these players will be key to Pitso Mosimane's plan for success on Sunday.
