In their efforts to take top-flight football to areas which do not get to see live Castle Premiership soccer, Moroka Swallows have accepted an invitation from the Naledi Municipality to play an exhibition match on the 13th of December.
Not only will the team be playing against a Naledi Invitation XI, but as part of ongoing social responsibility efforts, the team will also promote and visit a number of community projects.
The Birds will arrive in Vryberg on Friday the 12th, and meet a number of dignitaries as well as promoting the event among the local townspeople.
On the Saturday, the team will then visit the community projects, which include:
- Feed the Children International
- Love Life
- Thusanang Disabled Centre and
- Reiteretse Disabled Centre
After this, the team will then go to the stadium for the highlight of the weekend. At 7.00pm, the people of Naledi will have the opportunity to see their heroes in action as Moroka Swallows take on a Naledi Invitation XI.
Swallows are privileged to have this opportunity to not only bring professional football to Naledi, but to also help to promote worthwhile charitable causes which work so hard to uplift the communities of South Africa.
