Greg 'Never My Love' Etafia, the Moroka Swallows Nigerian goalkeeper, has joined his national team, the Super Eagles for their Africa Nations cup training camp.
The training camp is in Faro, a Portuguese holiday resort, which is being used by the Nigerians before the Africa Nations cup in Tunisia next year.
Etafia, who has become the first choice keeper for the Dube Birds with some sterling performances over the last season, will not be joining his club in the new year if he makes the final squad for his national team - he will only return after the tournament.
Swallows who are fourth on the Premiership log, will be without Etafia for close to two months, although he may not be missed that much as the team only plays two Castle Premiership games in that time.
The keeper, who has only four caps for his national team, will be hoping to be in the final line up for the Super Eagles, who stand directly in the way of Bafana Bafana's advancement past the first stage of the tournament.
Etafia once told this website that "Playing for my country in African Nations will be a dream come true for me and I know that the dream is not far away because playing for Swallows has given me confidence in my abilities as goalkeeper."
Well, 'Never My Love', may all your dreams may have come true...
