With the advent of the February transfer window there is already a lot of wheeling and dealing going on.
Jomo Cosmos defender Lovers Mohlala and midfielder Sammy Magalefa have signed six-month contracts with debt-laden Greek club Aris Salonika.
The former Wits players will be with the club - where Nasief Morris played before joining giants Panathinaikos - until the end of the season when the club will have an option to buy the players.
Aris are 12th in the Greek national football league which consists of 16 teams.
Back home Kaizer Chiefs and Sundowns are both rumoured to be after the signature of highly-rated South African under-23 international Zitha 'Ninja' Mofokeng.
Mofokengs career has stalled in recent seasons as he has failed to make it into Ajax Amsterdams senior squad
Former Moroka Swallows stars Peter Matshitse and Jabu 'S-curl' Mendu are also both looking to move after disastrous transfers to Kaizer Chiefs.
Mendu, in particular, has gone from arguably the best midfielder in the PSL last season while still at Swallows, to a permanent bench warmer at Chiefs where he plays second fiddle to Zimbabwean hard-man Tinashe Nengomasha.
Talented Wits midfielder and national under-23 star, Gert Schalkwyk, is rumoured to be on the shopping list of various premiership clubs with Ajax Cape Town heading the cue.
Schalkwyk is one of the brightest talents in the PSL at present and Ajax coach Gordon Igesund is said to want him to bolster the Urban Warriors as they push for a maiden Castyle Premiership title.
Still with the Urban Warriors, Moeneeb Josephs is on trial at their mother-club Ajax Amsterdam. If successful the club will be in desperate need to find an adequate replacement for the 2003 Player of the Year.
Out in Venda, free-scoring midfielder Christopher Netshidzivhe wants a move away from Black Leopards before his contract expires in June. Chiefs, Sundowns and Supersport are all reportedly keeping a close eye on proceedings.
In other transfer news Moroka Swallows defender Greg Hummel has moved to Turkey following a successful trial there, Surprise Moriri has signed a new contract with rookies Silver Stars, and Kerryn Jordan is wanted by both Stars and Santos.
