Moroka Swallows' hopes of clinching the Castle Premiership title this season have been dealt a massive blow after they were held to a 0-0 draw with Black Leopards at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Birds now have 41 points from 23 games and lie in fifth, while Leopards have 28 points from 24 games and are stuck in mid-table.
It was a game that never lived up to any great heights, though the visitors had the better of the chances, but were unable to convert those.
Coach Gavin Hunt will be disappointed with the finishing of his strikers, though at least pleased with the clean-sheet.
The best the Birds can hope for this season appears to be third place, having failed to make up any significant ground on pace-setters Kaizer Chiefs and Ajax Cape Town.
