Swallows Code of conduct for Juniors 02/04/04
The aim of a code of conduct is to try to govern and improve the relationships and understanding between players, coaches, staff, parents and management.

PLAYERS CODE OF CONDUCT

- Accept success and failure, victory and defeat with good grace and without excessive displays of emotion.
- Respect the ability of your opponents, because without them there would be no game.
- Shake hands after a game whether you win or lose.
- Look for the good things in your game if you lose a match.
- Do not bend rules.
- Do not argue with coaches or officials decisions.
- Do not feign injury.
- Do not attempt to hurt anybody with words or actions.
- No intimidation, direct aggression or verbal abuse will be accepted.
- Inform your coach if you can not attend training or a match.
- Report any injuries to the coach.
- Respect the facilities of your club.
-Where possible, always dress in the correct attire.

PARENTS CODE OF CONDUCT
         
- Accept that striving to win is more important than winning itself.
- Applaud good play by either side.
- Encourage a balanced lifestyle between sport, education and other interests.
- Respect the officials decision even if you don't agree.
- Be a good role model for your team.
- Avoiding pressurising your children about winning or losing.
- Focus on the process of participation, not the outcome.]
- Parent must let the coaches, managers etc do their job. Do not interfere in their work.
  If you have a concern, address it in the correct manner with the manager or the development director.
 
If you have any problems, questions or complains please talk to the manager, as he/she will not be able to improve the team otherwise.

COACHES CODE OF CONDUCT
                      
- Use justified praise.
- Accept mistakes as an important part of learning.
- Control your temper and always be reasonable in your demands.
- Show commitment and consistency when dealing with the team.
- Be sensitive to less talented players.
- Treat the team as you would like them to treat you.

AVOID THE FOLLOWING
  
- Laying the law and preaching to players.
- Bending the rules creating rules to manipulate players or situations
- Using shame to promote better play.
- Adopting a winning at all cost approach
- Arguing decisions.
- Having unrealistic expectation of your team or individuals
- Respect your peers
- Bad language
- Show respect to officials and members of your hosting club.
- No over -age kid will be played in an group. ID books and birth certificates are compulsory.
- Coaches, Assistant coaches and managers must do their utmost to look after the kit, training
  equipment and Germiston facilities that are used by the players.
- You are role models, your conduct and discipline reflects on your team and therefore be in 
  line with the rule regulation of Germiston and Moroka Swallows.
