To Win Is A Must - Master Ted 07/04/04
Castle Premiership title chasers Kaizer Chiefs entertain Moroka Swallows at the FNB Stadium tonight (Wednesday) in a Castle Premiership league clash that both Soweto giants desperately want to win.

Chiefs, on 48 points, lead the title chase but are ahead of their closest rivals - Ajax Cape Town -  for the Castle Premiership league title by only one point.

The Cape side face the beleaguered Manning Rangers tonight and a win for Ajax could see them leap frog the AmaKhosi.

It is a must win for coach Ted Dumitru's team as the Castle Premiership league title is in their reach.

Swallows though, won't be doing any favours for their Soweto neighbours although their coach Gavin Hunt has given up on the race for league honours.

The Dube Birds trail the leaders by seven points and a win would move them into fourth place.

Coach Gavin Hunt is optimistic that his team can get a big win.

"It's been a while since we've had a big win," Hunt told the official Swallows web site.

"And tonight could be our night. Hopefully the boys will just put what we done on practice onto the field of play, and if it all goes to plan then I'll be a happy man, and so will our fans.

"Hopefully Gary will get goal side again tonight," Hunt hinted jokingly.

AmaKhosi Coach Ted Dumitru is determined to get the three points.

"Winning is not an option, it is a must," Dumitru told SAsoccer365.com

"We are totally focused on the league despite our loss to Ajax on the weekend.

"The boys know what is expected of them and we are going for maximum points and although we have two good players out, we have the depth to replace them.

The rock-solid Derrick Spencer won't be available for the game which will leave  Patrick Mabedi, with either Bevan Fransman or Fabian McCarthy to contend with Swallows latest striking sensation, former defender Gary McNab.

Striker Patrick Mayo has also been ruled out of tonight's massive clash.
