Gavin Hunt was left fuming after being informed that Moroka Swallows' home fixture against league leaders Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday will now be played at the Johannesburg Stadium.
The Swallows coach was informed by the PSL that the venue must be switched for security reasons as a big crowd is expected for the match.
The Rand Stadium accommodates 28 000, whereas the Johannesburg Stadium can house up to 40 000 spectators.
"We understand the league's concerns about security, but we are also worried that we are forfeiting our home ground advantage," said Hunt.
"We have a good record at Rand Stadium, both in the league and Cup games. So it is really sad we cannot use it to our advantage."
Chiefs need just a draw on Saturday to secure their first ever PSL title, but Hunt insists that the Birds will be doing the Amakhosi no favours as Swallows will be going all out for victory in their aim to finish as high up as possible.
"Ending the season on a high has its financial rewards, as there is a lot of money involved. Also, there is pride to play for and there is no way we are not going to be tempted to donate points to Chiefs because they are in a good position to win the league," he said.
