Moroka Swallows captain Goodman Mazibuko says that he is very impressed with the good form, as well as the impressive team spirit shown at the Birds camp at present.
"I was very impressed with our performance as it is not often you are able to beat a team two weeks in succession by two or three goals," said the club captain.
Mazibuko is in the process of forming an excellent combination in the centre of the park with former Ajax skipper Alfred Phiri, and the two look set to become the most feared central midfield partnership in the PSL with their tough tackling, committed attitudes and good distribution.
Mazibuko singled out his new midfield partner for praise : "Alfred Phiri showed us how committed he is to our team, he completely devoured Ajax," he said.
The Birds skipper also made note of the great atmosphere that currently exists in the Swallows camp, and this will certainly add even more to the team's already strong drive for honours this season.
"Our players have really come together and there is such a good camaraderie in our team, including the new players. I think this is because of the Pre-season camp in Lesotho and the good management of Gavin Hunt and his team."
The team now has a two week break from competitive football until their next clash against Sundowns on August 29, and Mazibuko is looking forward to that challenge.
"Our next game is against Sundowns at Odi Stadium on the 29th August," said the former Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana star.
"This will be a very tough encounter. Patrice Motsepe has put a lot of money into his squad and will be demanding results and will stop at nothing to get a positive result.
"On the other hand we have started the season very well and will be striving to continue that form.
"Supporters get to the stadium; this is one game you wont want to miss. See you there!"
