Moroka Swallows coach Gavin Hunt has been infuriated by comments made by his Kaizer Chiefs counterpart Ted Dumitru following their SAA Supa 8 semi-final clash on Sunday.
Dumitru revealed he was disappointed by the standard of refereeing during Chiefs' 1-0 win over the Birds at the Kings Park Stadium and went onto to say that he felt referee Abdul Ebrahiem even helped Swallows a bit.
"I don't understand why an inexperienced referee was chosen for such a high profile match," said Dumitru after the game. "I think both sets of fans was disappointed by his performance."
"The Swallows players were really having a go at my boys and at least one should have been sent off. Video evidence would back my views on the match."
But Dumitru added that the atmosphere at the ground was amazing, where tickets for the match sold out before the weekend even started.
"The atmosphere is unbelievable. South African soccer needs more of this to improve," he added.
Meanwhile, Hunt was shocked by Dumitru's comments, declaring: "I could not believe his remarks."
"It's left a bad taste in the mouth. Although, they won the match, our boys played well."
Hunt is convinced that Swallows should won the match.
"We were totally control of the game, We dominated from the start and we created enough chances to win four or five games today, but good luck to them for the final," he added.
