Ouseb looking forward to the challenge 18/02/05
Birds defender Mohammed Ouseb says that he is confident of coming out on top in the battle against his former team-mate, SuperSport United's Lungisani Ndlela.

The two clubs meet in what promises to be an enthralling battle at the Rand Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Ndlela has started well at his new club, scoring twice in two games, but the experienced Ouseb is confident that the Swallows defence can handle the threat posed by the gangly marksman.

"If he was untouchable, he would be the top goal scorer in the league," pointed out the former Kaizer Chiefs defender.

"We, the Swallows players, have played with Lungisani a lot longer than the SuperSport players, so we know exactly what his strengths and weaknesses are, and sometimes his strength is his weakness."

Ouseb was also quick to mention that the Birds will not spend all their energy in trying to figure out how to handle Ndlela.

"We are not, however, planning our whole game plan around him - for all we know he might not even start the game. There are other threats which we also have to be aware of, such as Tico-Tico Bucaune," he said.

"Bucaune is like Dennis Lota for us, he has all the experience, he holds the ball up and can bring the other players into play, so we need to keep an eye on him as well."
