Moroka Swallows captain Goodman Mazibuko is happy to have been drawn against Wits University in the Absa Cup quarter-finals.
'Dolphin' was particularly happy that his side have been drawn against another Gauteng outfit, which should guarantee a large turnout from the Swallows supporters, effectively making the match a home tie for Swallows, even though they have been drawn away against the Clever Boys.
"I was very happy that we were drawn to play against another team from Gauteng," said the former Bafana Bafana midfielder.
"Even though we have been drawn as the away team, I am sure that there will be many Birds supporters at the Stadium as it is not too far for them to travel. So in a way it is a home game for us - I'm very glad that we never had to travel to Limpopo to play Dynamos!"
In recent years the Students have become known for their miserly defence, and on many occasion they have seen their cup games go into penalties after there were no goals in regulation time.
The Birds will thus need to be prepared for this likely hood and should feel confident after they knocked out Rangers in the same manner in their Last 16 clash.
Mazibuko feels that in order to win the game within the 90 minutes, an early goal is of vital importance.
"Wits showed that they are a good team by beating Chiefs on Sunday," he said. "They are always very tight defensively and I think that it will be crucial to get an early goal when we play them, then we shouldn't have too many problems.
"We have to fight all the way - we are the current holders of the trophy and we do not intend to give it up!"
