The Maimane Alfred Phiri Column 22/03/05
Alfred Phiri is back with his latest column, in which he talks about Swallows' most recent game - the 2-1 victory over Manning Rangers on Saturday.

Hello to all our readers - I told you I would be back!

Ok! We welcomed our favourite team Manning Rangers on the 19th march 2005 to our SLAUGHTER HOUSE (Rand Stadium) - the poor guyz were already terrified when they saw us.

We went on camp on Friday 18th and prepared for the next days game. We went there ready like a butcher with a knife, I tell you!

Saturday we got to the game and it was very good to have Mr. Winstanley back after such a long lay off on injury.

Now!!! A very funny thing happened. Mmmm. Manning Rangers decided that they are not going to use our change rooms for some odd reason, maybe their matwetwe told them that it was not safe, we don't know, but a word of advice Rangers - We don't work like that (unlike some people).

Ok! The game started - we were just a bit slow to start off with and missed a couple of great chances, which led us to 0 - 0 at half time. We came back and the same player who tormented them last time, Cecil Oerson, scored us a beautiful header which put us in the lead.

Then Rangers decide to go and touch the ball in the box which led us to a penalty... That was taken by Edzai Kasinauyo who made us proud by landing us a second goal, now you know by this time we feel like the KINGS, and Rangers well, they must have been feelin something else!

Then they  managed to pull one back through a penalty and 'at least tog ba kora one' and that was it!!! It was a Supa Game but you must remember not to mess with the BUTCHER.

We are resting this coming weekend and will be back on the 1st April 2005 against Wits its an away game.

WE WOULD LIKE TO WISH BAFANA BAFANA LUCK AGAINST UGANDA - SLAUGHTER THEM BOYS.

AND HAPPY EASTER TO EVERYONE

Thats all from me Folks...

HOLA MASWAI SWAI HOLA !!!!!!

ALFRED
