It was a great win over Wits, the second this season in Cup matches. They won one for the League. Swallows is now qualified for the second round, which is good and important because keeps the dream of winning a Cup this season alive.

When we started the season the league was the priority, but now that has changed to include the fight for the Nedbank Cup.

It was a difficult match, very tough and even, mainly because we lost the 3 previous games in the League, putting pressure on us.

Anyhow we improved in the second half, scoring the opening goal close to the end, but then gave the opponent the opportunity to equalize in the last minutes, when they were one short. Our boys put in a good performance during extra time, scoring 2 more goals and closing the way of the opponent in the Nedbank Cup.

We are happy to have found our winning ways again in what was a very good and open Cup game.

The Cup match win against the Students will refuel morale for the remaining eight league fixtures this season. Cup competitions are important for clubs to win as it helps boost morale and I believe a good Cup run will revive our fortunes and get our Premiership season back on track.

Injuries, lack of consistency, suspensions and other personal problems have affected the team's performances in the past month. We are, however, over our worries and apart from Edward Malinga who has a broken leg, we are now back at full strength.

We will play Peace Lovers next week. Good luck, Swallows!

Now it is League time again, we are playing Platinum Stars on Sunday, at Potchefstroom. We are sure the win over Wits has helped us to recover the confidence and the possibility to come back to the good and winning days at the League.

Fly high, Birds, Fly!

Felicidades!!!
Julio
