Moroka Swallows go into their Telkom Knockout first round match against Maritzburg United minus current footballer of the year Siyabonga 'Bhele'.


Nomvete, who sprained his right big toe ligaments during a 3-0 away league win against Orlando Pirates about 5 weeks ago, has not responded well to conservative treatment and is scheduled for surgery Wednesday 17 October 2012.

1. Nomvete

Diagnosis: right first metatarsophalangeal joint sprain(commonly known as Turf Toe).

Treatment: for surgery 17 October 2012.

Opinion: out for 8 weeks.

2. Cisse Cheick

Diagnosis: non-displaced crack fracture of right clavicle(collar bone), injured at training about 10 days ago.

Treatment: conservative treatment

Opinion: out for 6-8 weeks.

3. Rudi Isaacs

Diagnosis: mild right lower abdominal muscle strain.

Treatment: conservative treatment.

Opinion: doubtful for the Telkom knockout match.
