'In The Birds Nest' - 28/01/08

Due to the non-availability of our home ground, Germiston Stadium, we have opted to play four of our Absa Premiership games at Olenpark Stadium in Potchefstroom.

We regret the fact that this move will inconvenience most of our supporters who already travel long distances to our games. We do, however, promise to negotiate discounted traveling cost where possible.

The following are the affected home games:
Wednesday, February 13, 2008: Orlando Pirates at 7.30pm
Wednesday, February 20, 2008: Santos at 3.30pm
Sunday, March 9, 2008: Thanda Royal Zulu at 3.30pm
Sunday, April 6, 2008: Kaizer Chiefs at 3.30pm

The following players have been signed during the current signing on month (January 2008).

They are:
Alfred Phiri (Midfielder): Six months, plus one-year option.
Siph'esihle Ngobese (Right winger): Two years, plus one-year option
Siphamandla Vilakazi (Midfielder): Two years, plus one-year option
Brent Geyer (Defender): Six months, plus one-year option

New contract: Lefa Tsutsulupa has signed a new contract to serve the club for another four years.??

We have lost Bevan Fransman: After every attempt of keeping him, we could not keep Bevan Fransman who has left the Club for Ashdod FC who play in Israel's Premier League. We are very sad to have lost a player of his calibre as he has served us with dignity during his stay. We wish him well in his future endeavours.

Our senior team visited Botswana where they played two of the best teams in country. On Friday, January 25, 2007 we beat Mochudi Centre Chiefs by one goal to zero, and on Saturday we won 4-1 against Extension Gunners.

Can Swallows go all the way in the Nedbank Cup?

Yes, they can, cup football is suited to their game!
No, cup football is too much of a lottery.
Perhaps - but they need to build on their recent form.
