'Birds' youngsters in do-or-die fixture

Moroka Swallows' Under-19s have to beat Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates on Friday afternoon if they are to qualify for the next round of the SuperSport Under-19 Youth Cup.

The young 'Birds' did not make the best of starts in the tournament, losing both of their matches on Thursday.

But their 1-0 victory over Old Mutual Academy - thanks to an Ace Bhengu goal - has given them a glimmer of hope going into their last group match against Pirates.

"The win has boosted our players' confidence and they now believe they can sneak through to the next round," Swallows Head of Development Paul Habib told the club's official website.

"We will approach the Pirates game as a cup final. We will attack them from the word go; we have nothing to lose."

Bevan is staying in the nest! Your views?

Great news - we can continue to build around him!
Wonderful, but there is too much pressure on him.
It doesn't matter, as I was already resigned to losing him...
