Young Birds learn to fly
Thursday April 13 2006
Moroka Swallows' juniors started this years Metropolitan tournament on a high note when they beat Team Western Cape 1-0 in a Group C match on Thursday afternoon.
Striker Ace Bhengu scored the winning goal when he headed home a brilliant cross from the left flank.
The young striker has promised to score more goals as the tournament progresses.
"I was unlucky not to score another goal in this match," Bhengu told his club's official website afterwards.
He added: "But the Birds fans can expect more goals from me, starting with our next game."
Swallows will play Engen Santos tomorrow (Friday) afternoon and Bhengu believes they are capable of recording another win.
