'Lady Birds' update - March 14

The Moroka Swallows Ladies squad has been boosted by the return of star players Phumzile Mokgomane and Nothando Vilakazi ahead of the crucial league match against Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies on Sunday.

The Banyana Banyana duo return to the squad after missing out on the 13-0 drubbing over Springs Home Sweepers last weekend due to international commitments.

'Birds' Ladies team manager Nthabiseng Nkgweng has welcomed the duo return, saying their experience will help the team.

"We want to emulate what the boys did to the men's squad few weeks ago (Swallows beat Mamelodi Sundowns 3-1 in a league match at Loftus Stadium on March 27)," Nkgweng told the official Swallows website.

She added: "Sundowns Ladies want to pay revenge for the boys and we want to make it a clean sweep against them. I'm confident that the girls will come up tops against Sundowns."

Nkgweng also revealed that coach John Mosia will have a full squad to chose from as there are no injuries or suspensions.

Let the 'Beautiful Lady Birds' fly!
