Michelle Varner brings us the latest from the 'Birds' Juniors and Ladies teams.

THE NIKE CUP:
Our Under-15 squad put on a brilliant display in the recently-held Nike Cup in Pimville, Soweto, but was unfortunately beaten by Supersport United on penalties in the semi-finals.

LADIES TEAM:
Training will commence for current and new players at Germsiton's Dellville Stadium on Thursday, July 13, at 3.30pm. For queries please contact Thabiseng on 083 358 6676.

DAVID 'PINE' CHABELI:
We would like to express our deepest condolences to the family of David Chabeli, the former owner of Moroka Swallows. He was a true gentleman, his contribution to the game was immense. While at the helm of Swallows, he discovered great talent in the townships, 'Ace' Mnini being one of them. Rest in Peace.

JABU SITHOLE:
It was with shock and sadness that we learnt of the untimely death of Jabu Sithole. He was a great Moroka Swallows supporter performing for us on numerous occasions, we shall miss his great sense of humour and his fantastic personality. Our condolences to his wife Anna and their three children.
