Moroka Swallows continue their winning ways when they beat Santos 2-0 in a Castle Premiership match at Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace on Sunday afternoon.
Swallows dominated the match and should have scored more goals than the two they managed, but they were let down by some poor finishing.
There was not much action in the first half as both teams struggled against the heat.
The only real chance of the half fell to Swallows? Mame Niang in the 15th minute, but he sent his header wide.
The score remained 0-0 at half-time.
Swallows started the second half well and it came as no surprise when Mark Haskins put them in the lead in the 51st minute when he capitalised on a Santos defensive blunder.
Niang found himself with goalkeeper to beat in the 77th minute, but Barnard came out on tops when he parried Niang's shot for a corner kick.
Santos had an good opportunity to equalise in the 88th minute when they were awarded a free-kick just outside the Swallows penalty box, but Maraawan Bantam's shot was saved by Greg Etafia.
Things went from bad to worse for 'The People's Team' two minutes later when Patrick Thwala's cross deflected off Zvenyika Makonese's back and into the net.
Eleazar Rogers had a chance to score what would have been a consolation goal for Santos with just moments remaining, but his shot was saved by Etafia and proved to be the last action of the match as the referee blew the final whistle.
