Gorowa - 'I'm not under any pressure'
Moroka Swallows coach Ian Gorowa insists that he is not under any pressure ahead of the 'Dube Birds' Last 16 Telkom Knockout clash against Soweto rivals Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday night (kick-off 8pm).
The 'Beautiful Birds' have not had the best of starts in the 2007/08 Absa Premier League and are currently placed 10th after winning only one of the five matches played so far. But Gorowa believes that things will change for Swallows soon.
"I think we need to improve by huge leaps, but I certainly don't think I'm under any pressure," Gorowa told the official Swallows website.
He added: "We've got to approach every game as the game of our lives.
"We really have to go out there and win things; starting with the Telkom Knockout - we've got to do it for the pride of our supporters."
Gorowa's confidence will be boosted by the fact that Chiefs have not done well either this season, the 'Amakhosi' having lost two, drawn two and won just one of the five league matches thus far in 2007/08.
But just like any other derby, past records will count for nothing when these two Soweto giants collide on Saturday.
Gorowa will be looking at the likes of Sandile Ndlovu, Alton Meiring, Songwe Chalwe and the evergreen Lefa Tsutsulupa to make the difference for Swallows.
