As you grow older you come to realise that life is a series of beginnings and endings.
I really believe that much of it is to prepare us for some of life’s greatest challenges.
Though I am leaving with a heavy heart my decision to step aside was personally a very difficult one as I have always served the club with dignity, commitment and professionalism.
I appreciate the opportunity given to me and am particularly proud of contributing to the club’s success by winning the MTN8 trophy.
My sincere appreciation goes to our CEO Mr Leon Prins and the club directors for their support during these difficult times. Their dedication, loyalty and focus are sources of inspiration to me.
A special note of thanks to the supporters and my friends in the media who have always stood by me and sent me words of encouragement.
I have relished the camaraderie and team spirit and will always remember the challenges we faced as a team.
My thanks go to my technical team for their dedication and the contribution they made with their knowledge, and for making the working environment pleasant. They made it
worthwhile coming down on a daily basis to training.
I want to give the players a very big thank you for always being good professionals, and for having always shown that a positive attitude and discipline is key to being a good professional.
To Lefa, the captain of the team, I want to express my admiration for his leadership during trying times. I can never thank him enough for his support and for keeping the team dynamics positive.
