Moroka Swallows captain Lefa Tsutsulupa is in high spirits thanks to the Birds' fine run in the third quarter of the season.
The skipper became the latest in flock to be awarded man of the match in Q3; as the team wrapped it up with a 1-0 victory over Black Leopards at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday night.
"It's football, when you're good you're good," he joked in a post-match chat about the growing collection of man of the match awards in the Nest – the tally is now four in seven matches.
"On a serious note, its team-work; the guys did well. It was a matter of us winning and we did that, hopefully we can take this momentum to the next game."
Tsutsulupa admitted they were frustrated by Leopards' run and gun approach, however the Birds continued to plug away and a fine strike by Katlego Mashego would be the difference.
"Credit must be given to Leopards, they played well," he added.
"Sometimes it's down to patience, when things don't work out the first time you keep on going and keep on trying to create chances.
"We did that and we managed to score, that's what is important at the moment."
It's back to the Nest - Volkswagen Dobsonville Stadium - for the start of Q4 against Bidvest Wits on Friday night (kick-off 8pm).
