Noble joins Celtic
Newly-appointed Mamelodi Sundowns General Manager Afzal Khan has confirmed that the 'Brazilians' have loaned talented midfielder Reagan Noble to Bloemfontein Celtic until the end of the current season.
Noble, who joined Sundowns from Bidvest Wits after the 'Students' were relegated to the Mvela Golden League at the end of the 2005 season, will hopefully get some game-time at Celtic, having found it difficult to break into the star-studded Chloorkop-based team's starting line-up.
"They (Celtic) have approached us regarding acquiring his services and we have been talking to them for some time," Khan told the Sundowns official website.
"Eventually we agreed to release the player to them on loan until the end of the season. We will assess the situation at the end of the season," he added.
Noble, an attacking midfielder, becomes the second Sundowns player to go on a loan deal to Bloemfontein; the first being defender Thabiso Rammile, who joined 'Phunya Sele Sele' at the beginning of the 2006/07 season.
Meanwhile, according to Khan, Sundowns have not yet made a decision to sign anyone, but were working round the clock to strengthen the team during the open window period which ends at on the last day of January.
