'Injury Time' with Dr E - January 11

HERE IS THE LIST OF SWALLOWS INJURIES:
1. George Hummel.
He suffered a recurrence of an old fracture.
Diagnosis: Small horizontal fracture on the middle third of right tibia (leg bone).
Operation: Synthetic Bone Matrix Protein (BMP) used to fill the hole created by the fracture.
Date of Operation: December 11, 2006
Opinion: Out for six months.
2. Mohamed Ouseb.
Still undergoing rehab following anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repair.
Opinion: Should start training by February.
3. Bjorn Gugger.
Had partial lateral menisectomy (surgical removal of lateral meniscus) on left knee three years ago.
Diagnosis: He subsequently now has thinning of cartilage along the lateral femoral (thigh bone) and tibial surfaces with small osteophytes in keeping with degenerative changes.
Opinion: Due for operation soon, out for four to six months.
4. Jabulani Mendu.
Diagnosis: Right calf muscle strain (Grade One).
Opinion: Set to resume training on January 11.
5. Sibusiso Themba.
Diagnosis: Right ankle sprain, Grade Two.
Opinion: Out for three weeks.
