Injured Monyai 'feels gutted'

Injured Moroka Swallows defender Tebogo Monyai is an unhappy man, after being ruled out of action for up to four months with a serious leg injury.
Monyai, who has made a huge contribution to the 'Birds' this season, was tackled from behind by Benoni Premier United's striker Sello Mhlambi during the two teams' Castle Premiership clash over the weekend.
"The accident happened at a very bad time because the team was beginning to produce good results and we looked very solid at the back," Monyai told the official Swallows website.
He added: "The team looks very thin in defence as we only have four natural defenders available right now.
"If one defender gets injured or suspended, the coach will find himself in a situation where he has to convert midfielders into defenders and that will make things very difficult for us to win the league."
Whilst the injury is a bitter pill to swallow at this stage of the season, Monyai, however, does not blame Mhlambi because "he did not intentionally cause the injury".
"He even called to find out about my situation," added Monyai. "He has also promised to come and visit me soon."
Monyai believes that the team will do well without him, as "Swallows is a team and it does not depend on individuals".
The Swallows website staff would like to wish Monyai and any other injured 'Birds' players a very speedy recovery.
