'Basetsana' prepare for Mozambique clash

South Africa's Under-20 women's team, 'Basetsana', will host Mozambique in the preliminaries of the Women's Under-20 FIFA World Cup in 2008 - on the weekend of January 11, 12, and 13, 2008.

The second leg of this preliminary clash is scheduled for the weekend of January 25, 26, and 27.

According to 'Basetsana' team manager Fran Hilton-Smith, the team will depart for Germany in November to prepare for the World Cup qualifiers.

"The team will set up camp in Germany from November 16-26, 2007. Our mental and physical preparations will include playing matches with the German Under-20 team on November 22 and the under 19 team of Netherlands on November 25," added Hilton-Smith.

"Coaching sessions will be conducted by former German world champion coach Tina Theuene-Meyer."

'Basetsana' will depart for Germany on Friday, November 16 on a mission that Hilton-Smith described as the best preparations for the team ever.
