Ferreira - 'Prepare for war'

Al Hilal coach Heron Ricardo Ferreira has warned Orlando Pirates to 'prepare for war' when they travel to Sudan for the Champions League third-round second-leg in two weeks' time.

This comes after the Buccaneers beat his Sudanese team 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.

"I am not suggesting we are going to turn the tables on Pirates the way we did against Enugu Rangers [of Nigeria, who they beat 4-1 in the return leg after trailing 1-0]," Ferreira told The Sowetan.

He added: "Pirates are a stronger side, but we will be at home and we want to advance to the next round."

Orlando Pirates coach Kosta Papic blamed his team for making Hilal look good in the second half.

"If we want to win anything we have to respect everybody not for a portion of the game, but for the entire 90 minutes.

"I was not worried what the other team was doing, but I know my players became complacent in the second half," said Papic.

He concluded: "Two goals are not enough and it is going to be very difficult in Sudan."
