Eight new faces in Bafana squad

Bafana Bafana caretaker coach Pitso Mosimane has named eight uncapped players in his 20-man squad for next Wednesday's (May 10) friendly international against Lesotho.

"I requested this match to help me finalise the squad that will face Swaziland on the 20th and hopefully Madagascar or Botswana on May 21 in the COSAFA Castle Cup," Mosimane told the South African Football Association (SAFA) website.

He added: "After this match, I will have a better idea which players will feature in the COSAFA Tournament."

The squad reports for camp on Sunday, May 7, in the evening. They will be based in Sandton and will train at the Randburg Sports Club.

The trip to Lesotho will be undertaken on the morning of Tuesday, May 9.

Meanwhile, the COSAFA Castle Cup squad will be announced on Thursday, May 11, when the team returns from Lesotho.
