'Birds' continue to set trends
Saturday May 06 2006
The official Moroka Swallows website continues to set the trend by introducing the team's change-room songs on the official 'Birds' website.
The 'Beautiful Birds' squad recently took their boots off and went into a Cape Town studio; where they recorded their 'battle cries'.
It was up to striker 'Simba' Marumo to lead the session, i.e. in the absence of the inspirational voice of injured club captain Goodman Mazibuko.
The multi-cultural diversity of the team also adds an interesting dimension to the sound.
The 'Birds' foreign legion, led by Senegalese Mame Niang and Namibian Mohamed Ouseb, does not disappoint - demonstrating their commitment to team spirit by singing in South African languages.
