Nyandoro to go for trials in England

Castle Premiership champions-elect, Mamelodi Sundowns, are set to lose star midfielder Esrom Nyandoro to newly-promoted English side, Sheffield United.

According to the City Press, Nyandoro has been invited by United to undergo trials during the off-season.

Sundowns deputy CEO Jose Ferreira confirmed the move and added that they were expecting United's formal invitation in two days' time.

"Sheffield have shown interest in Nyandoro and we won't stand in his way if they give him an offer," Ferreira said.

Ferreira also confirmed that other UK clubs had also shown an interest in the 26-year-old player.

Meanwhile, Nyandoro himself was ecstatic about a possible move to the English Premiership.

"It would be a dream opportunity for myself to show what I am capable of at that level," said Nyandoro.

"This is my first trial overseas and I would like to make the most of it," he added.
