'Dr E's Medic Column'

Welcome to this week's edition of 'Dr E's Medic Column', the exclusive column where you, the passionate Moroka Swallows supporters, get regular medical updates from the first team's Dr.Ephraim Nematswerani.

 This week's report is as follows:

1. Mohamed Ouseb

He is still undergoing rehabilitation following right knee anterior cruciate ligament operation. He will only be fit by the first week of November 2006.
2. Patrick Mabedi

Diagnosis: Diagnonised with Mild Tonsillitis on Monday 21 August.
Opinion: Fit for weekend game.
3. Lovers Mohlala

Experienced severe pains and swelling on the right ankle Monday 21 August. There was, however, no history of injury or twisting during the match Sunday. Examination and X-ray showed intact ligaments and no bony abnormalities.

Diagnosis: Inflammatory ankle pains and swelling.He responded well to treatment. Swelling has completely subsided. He trained Wednesday and Thursday without any ill-effects.
Opinion: Fit for the weekend game.
4. Ashley Opperman

Kicked on his right ankle and foot on Tuesday during a practice friendly match. Examination and X-ray showed intact ligaments and no bony abnormalities.

Diagnosis: Right ankle contusion.
Opinion: For further assessment Thursday.
5. Goodman Mazibuko

Experienced dizzy spells during a routine gym session Monday 21 August. Examination and tests showed mild dehydration as the cause of dizziness. Still undergoing rehab for his left groin strain. Opinion: Has not started training with the team, unfit for this weekend.
