Chiefs condemn 'unsavoury fans'

PSL side Kaizer Chiefs have issued an official statement in which it expresses strong condemnation for the unruly behaivour displayed by 'unsavoury elements' amongst their supporters after their 2-1 Castle Premiership loss to Bidvest Wits on Wednesday evening.

The statement reads as follows: "The Management of Kaizer Chiefs condemns the behaviour of some supporters who damaged the stadium after our match against Bidvest Wits at the FNB Stadium on 20th September 2006.

"We view such acts as retrogressive and damaging to the Kaizer Chiefs brand. The club will conduct an internal investigation and assist in any possible manner, all criminal investigation and legal process that would follow.

"We also urge supporters who may have identified some of the culprits to contact our offices and assist in bringing those unsavoury elements to justice."
