Moroka Swallows head coach Zeca Marques has taken aim at this weekend's Absa Premiership clash against Black Leopards, to keep the Birds in chasing distance of the championship.
The Birds host the Limpopo outfit at the Volkswagen Dobsonville Stadium on Saturday night (kick-off 8.15 pm) and the coach is looking for maximum points after a disappointing exit from the Telkom Knockout.
"The weekend game against Black Leopards offers us an opportunity to bounce back with a win and cement our league standings," the Birds mentor said in an exclusive chat with morokaswallows.co.za.
"Leopards however are no pushovers. I admire them for their resilience, they are always a hard team to play against.
"But I also believe that the determination of our players and our never-say-die attitude will give us the edge in what promises to be an exciting match."
He added: "The team is on form, the motivation is high and the ambition remains the same, and this is the perfect match to show what we are capable of.
"Technically and tactically we are solid and I trust the weather will also play its part so that we may go on to play entertaining soccer and keep the three points at home.
"Looking forward to seeing all of you, Maswaiswai, at the Volkswagen Dobsonville Stadium."
