Moroka Swallows players paid tribute to goalkeeper Greg Etafia after he passed the 300-matches mark last year in the maroon and white colours of the beautiful Birds.
In what was a topsy-turvy battle to the halfway mark of the league campaign, the flock has used the recess to congratulate the shot-stopper for his extraordinary achievement.
Etafia's latest milestone comes during his 10th year with the Birds, having signed on the dotted line ahead of the 2002/03 season.
You would expect the Nigerian to pick his call-up to the Super Eagles squad or winning the Nedbank and MTN8 as his most memorable highlights, but that is not the case for the 30-year-old.
"The very first day I signed for Swallows was my happiest moment," he responded with his typical humble demeanour when mororkaswallows.co.za asked him to pick a standout event.
"It's all by the grace of God and not all in my power. It's also down to the coaches and especially the club. I'm very happy and give glory to God."
He added: "Swallows is my home, I thank God for the opportunity they gave to me. I'm really grateful to Swallows so I have to be loyal to them."
Etafia and co. are currently hard at work preparing for the second half of the 2012/13 season, where moving up on the log standings is high on the agenda.
