The Birds claimed a crucial 1-1 draw against Ajax Cape Town at the Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday night.
The draw sees Moroka Swallows claim four points against Ajax in the two matches played between the two sides in this campaign.
The Birds beat Ajax 3-1 when the two sides first locked horns back in August at the Volkswagen Dobsonville Stadium.
On a bumpy and slippery pitch, the Birds did not play their normal game; opting to use the diagonal ball to keep their opponents on the back-foot.
After back and forth attacks and the match looking likely to go into the half-time break tied at 0-0; Mosa Lebusa put the hosts in the lead.
The Birds retuned from the break with a lot of determination and pounded their opponents' defence with threatening attacks.
It was not until the 70th minute, that they would be rewarded; when Siyabonga Nomvethe held his nerve and produce a clinical finish to level matters - much to the excitement of the visiting fans.
With the verve on the side, the Birds pushed for the winner with the best chance falling for Bennett Chenene but the left-winger was unfortunate to see his shot blocked.
Moroka Swallows have dropped a position to 12th following the stalemate. We are on the road again Wednesday, to visit the University of Pretoria at the Tuks Stadium.
