'Birds' set sights on AmaZulu

Moroka Swallows will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they take on AmaZulu in an Absa Premiership clash at Princess Magogo Stadium on Wednesday afternoon (kick-off 3pm).

Fresh from their 2-4 loss at the hands of SuperSport United over the weekend, the 'Beautiful Birds' will be looking to redeem themselves against the Clive Barker-led team.

But Swallows General Manager Sipho Xulu admitted that it would not be easy to beat 'Usuthu' - especially at home.

"We have set ourselves a target of six points in our remaining two matches and we have to achieve this if we want to play in the top eight next season," Xulu told the official Swallows website.

He added: "AmaZulu are also coming off a 0-3 loss to Ajax Cape Town and that makes them very dangerous, but our players are aware of what is expected of them on the day.

"We are going to KZN with one thing on our mind and that is to collect three points."

The 'Beautiful Birds' have to achieve this feat without their prolific striker James Chamanga, who has left the team to join Chinese Super League outfit Dalian Shide FC.

"Like I said before losing a player of Chamanga's calibre is a great loss indeed, but we are not a one-man team and it's time for the fringe players to show us that they can deliver the goods," concluded Xulu.
