In the Birds' nest


Moroka Swallows Marketing Manager Michelle Varner gives us the latest on the Birds' Ladies and Under-19s sides.

LADIES:

Our ladies team played in an annual Easter tournament, called the Carnival City Tournament, beating Home Sweepers 3-1 in the final.

Goal-scorers were Janine Van Wyk, Pam Grabey, Anna Mnguni.

The ladies will be playing in the Metropolitan national play-offs in Pietermaritzburg from Sunday, May 14 to Sunday, May 21.

UNDER-19s:

Our Under-19 team lost to Santos in the semi-finals of the Metropolitan Cup.

They performed extremely well and we are very proud of them.
