Vote for Kobola!

Moroka Swallows fans are being urged to cast their vote for 'Birds' defender Vincent Kobola, who is in the running for the February Jet Club PSL Rookie of the Month Award.

Kobola is one of five Absa Premiership players shortlisted for the award and stands to win R50,000 if he wins the overall competition.

The 23-year-old is one of the country's outstanding emerging talents at both club and international Under-23 level.

The Limpopo-born star, who goes by the nickname 'Kubs', helped his local side Winners Park finish second in the then 16-club Mvela Golden League in the 2006/07 season, and was promptly signed by Swallows at the start of the current season.

The Jet Club Rookie Award was introduced to provide incentive to encourage excellence for those completing their first season in the Absa Premiership, and is awarded to the player who receives the most votes.

'Dube Birds' supporters can register their votes by calling the competition line on 082 234 2585 or they can SMS Kobola's name to 34379.

Bevan is staying in the nest! Your views?

Great news - we can continue to build around him!
Wonderful, but there is too much pressure on him.
It doesn't matter, as I was already resigned to losing him...
