Xulu sets the record straight

Moroka Swallows General Manager Sipho Xulu has moved quickly to set the record straight regarding the futures of Siphesihle Ngobese and Maimane Phiri at the club.

Ngobese and Phiri (pictured), both of whom are midfielders, have been training with the Swallows squad over the past few days, but neither has put pen to paper as yet.

"We are interested in Siphesihle and Maimane, both of whom have been training with us," explained Xulu to, "but neither has signed anything with us. The rumours that they have signed are untrue."

Xulu added: "We believe we will be able to sign both players, but we will make a formal announcement only when, or if, we sign either of them."

One man who has already put pen to paper with the 'Birds' is midfielder Lefa Tsutsulupa, who inked out a new four-and-a-half-year deal with the club this week.

"It's great news for the club and we're very grateful that Lefa has re-signed," said Xulu.

"We believe in him; Lefa has made a great contribution here thus far and we believe he can only get better too."

Bevan is staying in the nest! Your views?

Great news - we can continue to build around him!
Wonderful, but there is too much pressure on him.
It doesn't matter, as I was already resigned to losing him...
