'Birds' look to continue flying
Moroka Swallows will be looking to continue their winning ways when they meet BidVest Wits in an Absa Premiership match at BidVest Stadium on Friday evening.
The 'Dube Birds' are unbeaten in three matches and have scored a whopping 11 goals in the same number of matches.
"We seem to be improving in each game and that argues well for us going into the second half of the season, when most teams will struggle to get results" Swallows assistant coach Innocent Mayoyo told the club's official website.
He added: "But we need to guard against complacency because the race has not been won yet. We still have a long way ahead of us. We need to take it one game at a time and our focus now, must be on the Wits match.
"Preparations for this encounter have gone well and the boys look like they have found their rhythm which is good for the team."
Swallows will once again pin their hopes on in-form striker James Chamanga, who has netted eight goals in three consecutive matches.
"Chamanga looks hungrier than ever, but we can't always rely on him to win us games. The other guys need to contribute as well. I was glad to see a defender scoring a goal in our last game," explained Mayoyo.
Mayoyo also wished the 'Beautiful Birds' supporters a happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
"We hope to give you a nice Christmas present by beating Wits and finishing the year on top of the log," concluded Mayoyo.
