Mohlala - 'Expect fireworks'
Moroka Swallows defender Lovers Mohlala has promised fireworks when the 'Beautiful Birds' meet Orlando Pirates in the last 32 of the 2006/07 Absa Cup at Potchefstroom Stadium on Saturday night.
Matches between the two Soweto giants have always provided soccer fans with plenty of excitement and this one will be no different.
The last time these two teams met they produced a thrilling Castle Premiership encounter, with the game ending in a 2-2 draw after Mohlala scored a stunning goal for the 'Birds'.
"What I like about the cup games is that there no draws," Mohlala told the Swallows website.
He added: "Pirates were lucky to getaway with a draw the last time we met and this time there is no escape. We are ready for whatever they will throw at us. The question is, are they ready for us?
"The moral is high in the camp and the boys are looking forward to beating Pirates on Saturday night."
Meanwhile, Swallows Communications Manager Sello Maugane said he is expecting a tough game against Pirates.
"The game on Saturday is going to be tough game as both teams don't want to be knocked out at this early stage of the cup," said Maugane.
"A loss or draw is not even an option for us at Swallows; therefore it is important to go into this game with a winning attitude.
"Regarding the last two PSL games against Pirates, we gave them a run for their money and it was not a walk in the park for 'Bucs'.
"I have trust in my players that they will show character, hopefully we can show that type of form we showed at Royal Bafokeng on Saturday and hold on to our lead if we get ahead in the goal-scoring department," concluded Maugane.
