Swallows visit Bofulatshepo School
Moroka Swallows players and staff took time off from their busy schedules to visit Bofulatshepo Primary School in Sasolburg on Thursday.
Star players Mame Niang, Bongani Mbhele, Henrico Botes, Lefa Tsutsulupa and hometown boy Tsweu Mokoro conducted soccer clinics, which included three 10-a-side matches.
Ironically, Mokoro and his lads were given a 5-1 drubbing by the young lads from Bofulatshepo, but they won their remaining two matches 4-3 and 5-2, respectively.
After the games, the players handed out T-Shirts and also signed autographs, much to the delight of the pupils, who demanded that their heroes stayed longer than the three o'clock departure time.
"It was truly an amazing experience," recalled Swallows Events and Administration Manager Attie Mogorosi.
"From the welcome we got from the pupils, to the matches we played against them, everything was amazing. We couldn't have chosen a better school."
Mogorosi thanked the players for taking time off to visit the school, before concluding: "I would also like to thank the kids for their warm welcome and the school coach Mr Collins Mahlaela for preparing well-organised teams to play matches with us."
