Mphahlele to represent Africa in Spain
Moroka Swallows coach Gavin Hunt is a proud man now that one of his youngsters Ramahlwe Mphahlele has been selected to represent Africa in the Meridian Cup in Spain this week.
"This is a fantastic achievement not only for Swallows - but the country as a whole," Hunt told the official Swallows website.
He added: "The fact that he is the only South African player in the African squad makes us at Swallows very proud.
"The youngster has a lot of potential that is why he is in the senior team. His progress at Swallows has been hampered by his schooling as it is difficult for me to select him in the starting line-up because he does not attend training regularly.
"[But] we don't want to interfere with his schooling, which is why we gave him a month to focus on school work. I might draft him into the team during the school holidays and then people will finally see the potential that he has."
Hunt, meanwhile, also had some good advice for the youngster: "If you take your lessons to heart and work hard there is nothing that can stop you from achieving your dreams. Go out there and show the whole world your God-given talent."
Swallows would like to wish Mphahlele the best of luck in Spain - do us proud in Europe!
