Xulu - 'Come and see us play!'

Moroka Swallows General Manager Sipho Xulu has urged all 'Beautiful Birds' supporters to come out in their numbers to support the team in the inaugural Gauteng Challenge at the Atteridgeville Super Stadium on Saturday.

Swallows will face United in the first game of the tournament at 2pm, followed by Kaizer Chiefs v Mamelodi Sundowns at 4pm.

"This is an opportunity for our fans to see our new recruits in action as some of them did not travel with us to Botswana to see them playing," Xulu told the official Swallows website.

He added: "We are grateful to be part of this prestigious event and we want to thank the organisers for inviting us. As for our team, preparations are going well and we are looking forward to giving United a run for their money.

"We will use the United game to try out different combinations so that we can identify our strengths and weaknesses before the league restarts. I'm confident though that we'll come away with victory in the end and bring smiles to our supporters."

New players Maimane Phiri, Siphamandla Vilakazi, Siphesihle Ngobese and Brent Geyer are expected to be paraded to supporters on Saturday.

- Geyer relishes 'big city' move
- Swallows unbeaten in Botswana
- Gorowa pleased with 'Birds' progress
- Swallows beat United on penalties
- Happy Birthday, Boys!

Bevan is staying in the nest! Your views?

Great news - we can continue to build around him!
Wonderful, but there is too much pressure on him.
It doesn't matter, as I was already resigned to losing him...
