'Birds' mourn Goitseone

Moroka Swallows is sad to announce the death and the funeral arrangements of long-serving Club Secretary Sheila Tshimiso Goitseone (48), who passed away in the early hours of Christmas Day at Klerkdorp Gov hospital, due to a car accident which occurred on Friday, December 21 on the way to her home town in Taung in the North West. The accident took place on the N12 between Klerksdorp and Wolmaranstad.

The funeral will take place on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Manthe Stad in Taung. The service will start at 7am.

The club has arranged a bus for all supporters and persons who may wish to attend - it will leave from Calton Centre, Commissioner Street, on Friday night at 10pm.

To book, please contact Sipho Xulu at 083 506 1520 before Thursday noon. Seats are allocated on a fist-come, first-served basis.

"We have lost a great person who will not be easily replaced," said Xulu.

"We shall remember her for serving the club and football in general under very difficult times. Her death will be felt not only by her family, friends, and the club, but, also, by the football fraternity at large.

"To her family, we extend our deepest and sincere condolences. May her Soul rest in the everlasting Peace."
