Mazibuko happy with his progress
Injured Moroka Swallows captain Goodman Mazibuko is happy with the progress he has made so far and is looking forward to leading the team again next season.
"My torn muscle is slowly coming right and the severe pain that I was experiencing earlier on seems to be disappearing," Mazibuko told the official Swallows website.
He added: "At the moment, I'm doing some exercise in the gym. I am also doing light exercise with my physio. The fact that the league is coming to an end is a blessing in disguise because that will give me ample time to recover before the new season kicks off."
Mazibuko is happy with the 'Beautiful Birds' progress this season, despite his enforced absence.
"We are currently second on the log and we have an opportunity to play in Africa next season," he enthused.
"The job has not been done yet because we still have two matches to play, but I have full confidence in the team that we will finish the season as runners-up to Mamelodi Sundowns, who have already won the league."
The 'Birds' are not playing this weekend because of the Absa Cup semi-finals, but will be action again next week when they take on Santos in Cape Town on Friday, May 11.
